India Poised!What about you?
India poised! thus goes the slogan of a campaign run by a newspaper house.
May be they are true. Not that we won't like them to be true.
It is just the way that this campaign is being carried out which makes the whole concept shallow, to say the least.
On one hand they talk about people in different fields doing something for the nation in their own ways and on the other hand they talk about aishwarya rai.
Well,who doesn't like thinking about aishwarya but what on earth does one have to do with the sindoor smeared on her forehead.
Who gives a damn about her engagement or amar singh's presence at her engagement!
Another thing that has come up in this campaign is India becoming a soft power.No doubt, India is fast becoming a soft power but we need to take it in the right sense.We can't see India as a soft power just because people in Afghanistan can't stop themselves from watching "Kyunki saans bhi kabhi bahu thi".If soft power is about culture then saans bahu operas are hardly the thing one can or should go by.
If India has to march in the right direction which is forward then each and every individual must work in their own capacity. We don't need any private circulation to tell us what to do and what not to do.
We know our responsibilities and we are ready to take on the challenges we might face in the coming future.We know that everything is not rosy but we sure have the strength and determination to walk on thorns and still be successful.
