Resevations

With the formation of the GOM comprising mostly pro-reservation individuals the hopes of anti-reservation protestors have almost evaporated. The best thing that can happen now is increasing the number of seats in national institutes and implementing quotas at the same time. This will definitely take time and so the protestors should get back to their respective jobs and put a stop to their hunger strikes and et al. The way protests were conducted and as a result handeled was definitely not correct , to say the least. The thick-skinned politicians hardly had themselves affected in any way. The most negative part in this whole thing was undoubtedly played by the media. They instigated the students all over the nation by glorifying the wrong means adopted by the protestors and showing the police in poor light. What else were the police expected to do - allow hundreds of protestors to enter a ministers house to kill him or to be a mute spectator to the violent clashes that would ha
