Diveagar 2

Image
Here it is. Diveagar 2. It's been almost a week since we have returned. No blog yet? Not fair. There were many firsts in this trip. It was the first time I was going to Konkan. We set out at 6in the morning...just imagine!!! For the first time localites were accompanying us on a holiday and for the first time they were not there usual bore selves and thank god for that. Our driver had no clue whatsoever about the roads that led to Diveagar. He still looked and talked as if he had mapped the entire western Maharashtra region. Thanks to him we travelled an extra hundred kilometres. Now I feel, thank god! we lost our way. We got to saw Wai - village where some of the most interesting scenes of Swades were shot. Picturesque! Then we went to Panchagani. There we saw the location where Taare Zamin Par was shot. Breathtaking! Finally we got on track. We reached Diveagar after spiralling our way through the Sahyadris for nearly two hours. No points...

Diveagar 1

Dive Agar beckons! It's been quite a while since I have been to any exotic location for a holiday. Well, not exactly, as I had been to Mahabaleshwar less than a year ago. But who wants to miss an opportunity to holiday? I certainly am not the one. We are planning to leave tomorrow morning. It's Saturday tomorrow and a welcome holiday as we have had a very short vacation. We hardly had time to unwind before we had to pack our bags again for destination PUne. (PU - Pune University). I think it's going to be really helpful for we have subjected ourselves to extreme relaxation by partying the hard way at Mood Indigo, the cultural festival organised by IIT Bombay. Hope this trip brings us back to our senses and makes us ready for our humdrum lives in our college. We are having some tense moments as for the planning for the trip. But we ...

DELL Inspiron 1520 - an overview

This is my new laptop. Dell Inspiron 1520. This thing rocks! and why shouldn't it when it belongs to a rockstar! This thing is all curves. No perky edges. No sharp corners. Just smooth curves with great finishing and styling. The touchpad is extremely cool. It's sensibly sensitive. Could not have asked for a better keyboard. The touch of the keys is heavenly. The speakers sound better than Altec Lansing. Headphones are mindblowing. Screen is crystal clear with every aspect customizable. Rock steady performance with great functionality makes this package worthy of praise. Camera is not as powerful as it should have been. Chalta hai. Windows Vista is all glossy. A welcome departure from style-starved XP. This interface is extremely user friendly. IE 7 looks a little messed up. I think i will go for firefox instead. Connecting to the internet has never been easier even with PC Suite. DELL Media Direct is a patchy replica of Windows Media Center. Cool way to access media without ac...
